Construction Programme & Production Control (CPPC) ontology : a required integration for construction digital twin
Karim Farghaly 1, Ranjith Soman 21 University College London, United Kingdom 2 ETH Zurich, Zurich 8093DOI: 10.35490/EC3.2022.159Abstract: With ongoing development of construction digital twins, several works are taking the same steps, and findings of BIM. This piece of work is questioning if that is enough or we could be misinformed by the BIM’s survivorship bias of what information should be collected, integrated, and visualized in construction sites. To contribute in that, an ontology related to construction programme and production control (CPPC) is proposed. The development is based on case study and mapped to existing ontologies: BOT, DiCon and Prov. The results show that the ontology demonstrates its’ efficiency to enhance the production control of construction sites. Keywords: Production Control, OntologyPaper:EC32022_159
