Flights to Crete
Getting to Crete is easy, as the island is well connected to the rest of Europe and Greece through its two international airports: Heraklion Airport (HER) and Chania Airport (CHQ). Both airports offer direct flights to many European cities, as well as domestic flights to other cities in Greece. The duration of the flight between Athens and Crete is approximately 50 minutes and major airlines such as Aegean Airlines, Ryanair, and EasyJet operate flights to Crete, providing a wide range of options for conference attendees.
Once you arrive at the airport, transportation options are readily available to take you to the [conference venue] or accommodation. Taxis and rental cars are widely available, or you can book a transfer in advance through a local travel agency. Additionally, Crete has a reliable public transportation system, with buses running regularly throughout the island.
