Abstract: Bridge inspection processes for damage assessment are still analog and barely unautomated. By combining innovative technologies with open data formats, an approach for automated damage management is presented. The concept uses a lifecycle-oriented approach based on open data exchange formats and a Common Data Environment as a central data hub to improve collaboration and ensure interoperability. To achieve a high degree of automation, mobile robotic-systems are integrated for damage assessment and artificial intelligence for their identification. In this paper, a concept for an innovative damage management for the maintenance phase of bridge structures is developed and implemented in a mock-up.
