Representing modelica models as knowledge graphs using the moont ontology

Abstract: Model based design of building energy systems is increasingly used to enable efficient design flows. An ontology (MoOnt) has been developed that represents Modelica simulation models by knowledge graphs (KG). An automated transcriptor that extracts knowledge graphs from Modelica models has been implemented. A data base carrying the transcribed library and model representations was successfully queried for test cases. This is the basis towards further steps for automated translation of different types of models in the design process of buildings and a contribution to the model based design of building energy systems.
