Stakeholders must be able to trust results - building owners want to know how the results will benefit them, while companies require a return in investment through the use of such tools. Furthermore, engineers using such systems should be able to examine their use over time to tune their accuracy. Provenance systems seek to capture information that can be used to fulfil these goals. An application of the W3C PROV-O vocabulary and an interface to facilitate recording of typical BEPS processes is described.
